The House

What is now El Pozo Apartments was once two separate small houses – Casa Chirón and Casa Pepita. While Casa Pepita was a home until the 1980s, Casa Chirón had been empty for almost a century, and was used as a stable, yard and for storage. There is still a fond memory of Casa Pepita in the town because its last tenant was an important dressmaker who taught the craft to many of the girls in the Aínsa. The name El Pozo (the Well) comes from the snow well preserved in the cellar and visible through the glass on the foyer floor. It has belonged to our family for more than one generation. While restoring the building, we wanted to respect the use of noble materials (stone, wrought iron and wood) and the traditional style of building. But we also wanted to provide it with all the conveniences of technology, taking great care of details and emphasising the beauty of simplicity and, above all, putting value on quality and living comfort. The result is a set of simple, welcoming apartments bathed in natural light, with functional and attractive furniture placing an accent on a rustic style with little touches that make a difference. The traditional oak kitchen, the pine framework and wooden floorboards are perfectly complemented with comfortable beds, clean and hygienic bathrooms and all of the services you need for your days of relaxation. And they are clean, very clean, because we know that a pristine, polished and spotless home offers better quality rest.
